Gilbert Lumineers: A Versatile Way to Overcome Dental Shortcomings

You're practicing your "first impressions" smile and you notice something you never saw before: your front teeth are crooked. Or it's possible that flossing and brushing your teeth is beginning to irritate you because leftover food gets wedged inbetween your teeth. Maybe you've always had a love/hate (or hate/hate) relationship with your teeth. Is there any hope for you? Gilbert dentist Fotolia_7821073_XS.jpg

Why not contemplate Gilbert Lumineers, sometimes called dental veneers. If you have any ugly spots in any tooth, you can use veneers to hide them. A computer is used to craft each individual veneer so you can rest assured that these aren't any factory-issued pieces.

There are two different styles of Gilbert lumineers. One is as thin as a contact lens and the other are the normal kind.

The Gilbert lumineers can fix a little chip or blemish that you don't like, or you can get a new smile with them. But they're just for cosmetic purposes: major dental work should be handled by dealing with the problem, not covering it up. Let your dentist be the guide on that.

To begin with, it may sound as though the procedure is simple. But that's not really true. Some natural material has to be filed from your teeth before anything else can even be done. It won't be an awful lot, just a little. All the same, the file will have to come out for that and your gums will get a little rub-down as well.

A temporary veneer needs to be constructed and the technician uses that as a template for the real veneer that will be permanent. While you're awaiting the temporary veneer, you'll get a little preview of what the veneers will be like. Also, during the construction of these veneers, they can be modified and tweaked as much as necessary. So you can provide input in the construction. You will also receive a splint that will go over your teeth prior to your dentist putting the actual veneers on. That way, there will be no confusion about what the veneers will feel like in your mouth.
