When kids know they have to get braces, they sometimes respond with a temper tantrum. They know exactly what happens to kids with braces and they sure don't want that to be them. Gilbert dentist Fotolia_8033909_XS.jpg

But since you're a good parent, you'll be ignoring that, I'm sure. Your boy or girl is just going to have to suck it up and take the abuse.

But there's another option. They don't have to take abuse, especially if they opt to get invisible braces. In that case, no one will know that junior or juniorette has braces.

This is achieved with Gilbert braces. Sometimes these Gilbert braces are called Invisalign invisible braces. The dentist uses a progression of different aligners to help arrange the teeth in their original position. Advanced computer technology custom crafts each aligner. At any time, you may take the aligners off so tooth brushing is not affected.

The process of getting invisible braces looks like this. Your Gilbert dentist devises a treatment schedule and orders a set of customized aligners. Over the course of several months, new aligners are placed in your child's mouth every two weeks. That way, the teeth will eventually get put in the right place. The length of treatment time hinges on how much moving the teeth have to do. But it can be said that the full treatment program can take a little less than 12 months. Conventional braces will make you the butt of jokes for two years.

The orthodontist will sometimes put braces on a child and when he finds that the child is unable to keep his teeth clean, he is forced to remove the braces. But with Invisalign, you can take the braces off when you need to.

Oh, and something else I forgot. Gilbert braces will work on just one tooth or your whole mouthful! A Gilbert dentist can put those puppies on your "two front teeth" or some crooked teeth on the side. Conventional braces can't do that!
