George Clooney tried out for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team long before he decided he wanted to be an actor. He was just 17. Quite cool, eh? Clooney's childhood was surrounded by performers. His family produced many famous personalities. His uncle was Jose Ferrer and his aunt was the famous singer Rosemary Clooney.

Cincinnati didn't want to sign George, and, for his fans, that's a good thing. After that, he tried his hand at journalism. You can see his interest in journalism in the choice of movies that he is involved in.

Then came ER, which made him an international star. That's right, way back in 1994, Clooney was one of many hard-working actors and actresses who strutted their stuff on ER.
